The MPAU operates, maintains and supports two CH-54 Sikorsky Sky
Cranes. Like all MP vehicles these are powered by fusion
engines. Therefore their range is limited only by the need for
maintenance (12 hours of maintenance for every 12 hours of
flight).
Cargo can be either slung below the helicopter or in a number of
standard "pods" (all based on the standard 20 foot ISO cargo container)
. The maximum payload is 20,000lb
